Very often during strip light installation, the question arises: how to create a continuous line of light without dark spots or ensure that the strip completely covers the entire surface of the diffuser. The smaller the cutting width of the strip, the easier it is to solve this problem — the length of the profiles mounted on ceilings or walls is very rarely a multiple of the strip length, because the profile and the strip must address the demands set by the space, the designer, or the client themselves. Nobody likes having to choose a solution based on what is available in stock. What mass manufacturers of LED strips offer us, the users, are strips with a cutting width of 5 centimeters — which corresponds to 120 diodes at 24 Volts. This is why installers often choose 12 Volts instead of 24 Volts, because at 12 Volts, the cutting width of the strips — for the same number of diodes — is twice as small. However, 12-Volt strips have several drawbacks: twice the current, which necessitates the use of thicker wires, greater strip heating, and power loss over long strip lengths (more than 3 m in a single continuous segment). The answer to these challenges and questions has become strips with a cutting unit of 1 diode, which equals 0.8 cm in length.

We present to your attention Rishang strips of the RL08C0TC-L and RL05C0TC-L series with a base width of 8 mm and 5 mm respectively.

This is a Rishang strip with a standard width of 8 mm and a cutting width of 1 diode / 0.8 cm. The power of this strip is 10 W per 1 m. The fact that the strip is cut by a single diode beneficially affects the power loss when connecting the entire 5 m segment from one side - the drop is only 2 W over the entire 5 m length. That is, the total power of the strip when connecting 5 m from one side is 48 W. The Rishang strip is available in 2 color temperatures - 3000 K (SKU 21038) and 4000 K (SKU 21039).

Also, with the development of requirements for the quality and options of LED strip lighting, narrower Rishang strips with a 5 mm board width have gained popularity, which are used with more compact profiles that do not take up much space, or are recessed into furniture. In this case (recessing into furniture), the relevance of the 0.8 cm cut becomes even greater, as there is no possibility to take a longer profile. This is where this solution with a narrow board and a 1 diode cut comes in handy. The power of this strip is 8 W per 1 m, and it is also presented in two colors - 3000 K (SKU 21035) and  4000 K (SKU  21036).

Also, among the great new products, we can recommend for review the CCT (dual-color) strip that works with only two wires. We are currently talking about a strip that can change its color within the range 2700 K to 5700 K depending on a person's preference. Usually, everyone is accustomed to the fact that dual-color strips have 3 wires - 1 positive wire and 2 control wires - one negative for each color. This is the approach widespread in China. But there is another option for such a strip - it is the two-wire option, which is more common in Europe. This option is interesting to us because we can recommend it to clients who have already laid all the wires for a single-color strip, but after some time (a month or a year) desire a change in the color of the light - for example, they want a warmer or cooler glow, or are setting up an automatic color change system for themselves. It is no longer possible to run an additional third wire without redoing all the wiring. This is exactly where this specific strip comes in handy.

The RM0831MC-A-1 2700K/5700K (SKU 20729) has a CRI90 color rendering index, and has an advantage over its 3-wire counterpart — since there are only 2 conductors instead of 3 on the substrate, the conductors are made thicker, and the total power of the strip has fewer losses because of this. However, there is a catch — equipment that can work with such strips is needed. Such controllers are available in our warehouse — this is the V2 series of controllers from the Skydance manufacturer — specifically, the V2-S controller (SKU 20989) for operation with a remote control, and the V2-S(WT) controller (SKU 21379) for operation with a phone or a standard remote control. The strip has a power of 10 W per 1 m — which is currently the standard for COB strips with continuous illumination, as their efficiency is about 90-95 lumens per Watt depending on the color. This strip can be used anywhere — lighting for shelves, walls, or ceilings in living rooms, bedroom lighting — there are no limitations. The 8 mm wide strip fits into any standard profile and can be cut every  3 centimeters.
