The first category of strips that you should pay attention to first of all are strips with high efficiency - 160 Lumens/W - and low consumption - 4.8 W/m and the number of diodes 120 or 128 pieces per meter. Usually, for small powers, a small number of diodes per meter is taken - 60 or 64 diodes. But the modern world requires solutions that would look more pleasant - without significant gaps between the diodes and shadows on the diffuser. The minimum number of diodes for this purpose is 120-128 diodes per meter. Therefore, ready-made series are taken as a basis, which are suitable in terms of characteristics: number of diodes, efficiency and power.

RV08C8TC 4.8W/m - has the same luminous flux as 8.6W/m 120 diodes - 850 lumens per meter. This is achieved with an efficiency of 160 lumens per W and a number of diodes per meter - 128 pieces. That is, by reducing the power to 4.8W/m, we have the same luminous flux as 120 diodes per meter with a full power of 8.6W/m. The energy consumption savings are 50%.

Sometimes it happens that the strips in silicone on the facade look very bright and either interfere or do not fit into the environment with their brightness. To solve this type of problem, the RVA0C0TC 4.8W strip was created with the number of diodes 120 pcs per meter, efficiency 110 lumens per W and power 4.8 W/m. The luminous flux in this case is the same as that of a strip with 60 diodes per meter - about 400 lumens per meter, but the number of diodes is 2 times more. The thought immediately arises that a regular strip can be dimmed to the required power, but there is not always a technical possibility for this or additional funds for a control system.

Another new product of the efficient RL series tapes, which was developed specifically for our market, is the RL08G0TC tape. It has an efficiency of 150 lumens per W, 13.5 W/m and 160 diodes per meter and a luminous flux of 2150 lumens per meter. So far, there have been no tapes in the RL series with an efficiency of more than 110 lumens per watt, although there are tapes with a number of diodes of 180 pcs per meter, the efficiency and luminous flux in them are standard. The most interesting thing about this tape is the price, which is slightly higher than the prices of standard tapes with 120 diodes and having a standard efficiency of 100 lumens per watt. Bright tapes are used in many cases, such as in the main lighting of rooms, lighting of kitchen surfaces, and are used in the production of budget lamps. It is the low price and outstanding characteristics that make this tape very interesting for our market, both for manufacturers of lamps, stretch ceilings, and installers. Since the tape is mounted indoors, there are no problems with the choice of control system - you can use both radio control and wired DALI.

It is also necessary to note the RM0829TC 48V series tape. This tape can be cut in 1 centimeter increments, has 600 diodes per meter, consumes 10 W/m, and has a standard efficiency of 95 lumens per W. Everyone knows that the higher the voltage of the tapes, the greater the cutting step. That is, if a 12 volt 120 diode tape has a cutting step of 2.5 cm, then the same tape for 24 volts already has a cutting step of 5 cm, and a 48 volt tape will already have a cutting step of 10 cm. A tape of 84 diodes 48 volts has a cutting step of 17.5 cm. A large cutting step is inconvenient and imposes restrictions on the use of the tape. For this, the 600 diode 24 volt tape of the RM0829EC 24V series was modified to work with a voltage of 48 volts. Both the cutting pitch and voltage allow this tape to be used where there is already a 48 volt power supply. Also, 48 volts has the same advantages over 24 volts - less heating, less power loss, less current, and accordingly, you can take wires that are twice as thin as for 24 volts..
